| Anti psoriatic - Keratoplastic |
| Indications: |
| Mild to moderate, moderately severe psoriasis and other chronic dermatoses characterized by itching, scaling and erythema. PsoriaLess® removes established lesions and the increased epidermal thickness of scaly skins, prevents abnormal keratinization, rebuilds the granular layer, and creates those antibodies necessary for a healthy, and normal skin. Affects the degree of hyper-proliferation of keratinocytes in the epidermis. These keratinocytes exhibit an increased mitotic rate and can cause ten times the turnover rate of normal keratinocytes. |  |
| The psoriatic skin has a cell proliferation many times greater than in normal skin resulting in loss of protein (as the cells turn over rapidly and are shed), loss of water (may be eight to ten times greater than normal), and a skin being more permeable than normal. It is therefore very important to moisturize the skin to compensate for the abnormal degree of loss of water of the psoriatic skin. PsoriaLess® is also lubricating, moisturizing, and is intended for use especially in intertriginous areas. PsoriaLess®, being an ointment, seals off the affected area and retains the skins water content, effectively. |
| In the initial stage of the treatment and in order to obtain quick results, it is recommended to apply PsoriaLess® under occlusion. |
| PsoriaLess® is also extremely effective in the control of pruritis or (severe) itching associated with scaly skins. PsoriaLess® immediately reduces itch and sensitivity of the skin, optimizes the immune response of the skin tissue, has a strong itch-stopping effect and excellent skin hydrating capacities. |
| PsoriaLess® is natural, harmless and safe (also in children) and does not contain hormones (steroids) or other harsh chemicals. |
| Contraindications: None. |
| Precautions: Discontinue medication should irritation or allergic reactions occur. If irritation or allergic occurs this will be within 20 minutes of having applied the product. Avoid contact with eyes. |
| Dosage: Apply 2 to 4 times daily massaging thoroughly into affected areas. A daily, hot bath, added with some baking soda or sea salt, will soften scales and will, as a consequence, more easily be removed once PsoriaLess® is applied. In the initial stage of the treatment and in order to obtain quick results, it is recommended to apply PsoriaLess® under occlusion. There are no side effects associated with the application of PsoriaLess® under occlusion. Once your psoriatic or eczematous condition is under control, maintenance therapy may be individually adjusted. It is recommended to continue treatment of the affected areas for at least 2-4 weeks so that the product is allowed, by the duration of the treatment, of its effectiveness. |
| Supplied: Ointment: Each g contains: 7% peroxidized oils, allantoin 5%, salicylic acid 3%, in a greaseless, stainless vehicle. All ingredients are: Petrolatum, Zea Mays, Allantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Calendula Officinalis, Paraffinum Liquidum, Salicylic Acid, Buxus Chinensis, Retinyl Palmitate, Daucus Carota, Phenoxyethanol, Methyldibromo Glutaronitril. Packed in large plastic containers of 100g or 3.53 OZ. |
| Occlusion |
| Occlusion is a different word for putting parts of the affected skin under a protective cover like a plastic film or bandage, or a combination of a plastic film or bandage. Doing this, as the affected area will be sealed off and will make the topical medication effectively penetrate the skin. This is quite often prescribed by your dermatologist in order to achieve a faster result, more effective removal of existing layers of skin (lesions), in improving upon your psoriasis condition. Quite often he will suggests to apply occlusion at night and when you are suffering from hard lesions through which he wants to break through. The occlusion will create a "moist" environment in which the psoriatic skin will soften and peel off easier. Although the absorption of medication through the skin into the rest of your system is limited, you should take care in not overdoing to apply occlusion combined with medications (for instance those containing steroids and or tar etc.) which can cause side effects or skin irritations. Also, be very careful not to use any elastic bands etc. to hold the occlusion material and not to obstruct blood circulation through these parts of your body. This could be dangerous! Occlusion, wrapping psoriasis lesions treated with PsoriaLess® with tape, plastic wrap, or clothing, can help to clear psoriasis earlier and has proven to be extremely effective in many cases. Apply PsoriaLess® during the day without occlusion. You can apply occlusion using PsoriaLess®, freely. PsoriaLess® is safe. Back to Dosage |

Psoriasis or Psoriasis associated with severe itch |

Soak in Dead Sea Salt Water Bath or Solution for 20 minutes
(alternatively in bath with baking soda) follow with
PsoriaLess Ointment at night under occlusion. Day time:
After shower rub in with PsoriaLess and let it dry in for
about 10 minutes and or cover with plastic wrap/cling film.
Repeat daily until normal skin condition develops. |
